“Alleged Kim Sae-ron” Kissing Video Controversy: Family Refutes Claim with Evidence of Female Friend

According to the family, around 1 AM on May 27, 2019, Kim Sae-ron was spending time with a female friend, not a man. This information is backed by records on the mobile phone she used during her lifetime.

At the time, Kim Sae-ron was in contact with her mother and confirmed she was at her female friend’s house. Additionally, playful videos taken using a smartphone app were left behind. Both pieces of evidence were created before 1 AM on the same day.

Furthermore, in June and July 2019, Kim Sae-ron was filming the web drama “Love Playlist Season 4,” making it unlikely for her to have publicly dated a man during that period. At the time, she was under YG Entertainment.

A video recently released on April 9 shows a couple kissing and walking between Seoul’s Nonhyeon Station and Eonju Station around midnight on May 27, 2019. It was claimed that Kim Sae-ron was engaging in physical affection with a then-boyfriend and that the footage was taken by an acquaintance.

However, due to the grainy quality of the night-time footage, it is unclear whether the woman in the video is truly Kim Sae-ron. The metadata of the video is timestamped at around midnight on May 27, 2019, which has fueled speculation that she was with a man who was not Kim Soo-hyun.

The family has questioned the credibility of the video and emphasized, “At that time, Kim Sae-ron was with a female friend.”
